Ski Magazine's Gold Medal Shop Awards has named Bellevue's Sturtevant's as its national shop of the year. Sturtevant's also was named the West regional shop of the year.
“We are incredibly honored to be the recipients of Ski Magazine’s retailer of the year. To be recognized on a national level is a tribute to our employees for their dedication and hard work,” Sturtevant’s owner Tracy Gibbons said in a news release. “We’d like to thank Duncan Campbell for the 30 years he spent building and leading this company, and for giving us this opportunity to continue providing our customers with a local, specialty ski and snowboard shop dedicated to providing the best service and selection.”
Last October, Sturtevant’s opened a shop at 2220 S. 37th St., Tacoma, across the street from Costco.
Also earning a gold medal was Evo Gear of Seattle as national e-tailer of the year.
