Kelly Bush, a wilderness district ranger at North Cascades National Park, has been named one of seven regional recipients of the Harry Yount Award.
The award, named after the first known park ranger, recognizes excellence in the field of “rangering.”
The regional recipients are the finalists for the servicewide Yount award that will be presented in Washington, D.C., in June.
The regional winners receive a cash award of $1,250 and a custom-designed plaque containing a metal engraving of Harry Yount.
The Washington Office, Division of Law Enforcement, Security and Emergency Services, in partnership with the National Park Foundation, sponsor the Harry Yount Award program.
