WASHINGTON COAST: Razor clam digs scheduled for next week

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced a six-day razor clam dig for next week at up to five state beaches. The openings are all on morning low tides; no digging will be allowed after noon.

Beach openings, along with morning low tides, will be:

Tuesday: Long Beach and Twin Harbors, 6:21 a.m.

Wednesday: Long Beach and Twin Harbors, 7:06 a.m.

Thursday: Long Beach and Twin Harbors, 7:50 a.m.

Friday: Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks, 8:32 a.m.

May 1: Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrocks and Kalaloch, 9:15 a.m.

May 2: Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrocks and Kalaloch, 9:58 a.m.

Under WDFW rules, harvesters can take no more than 15 razor clams and must keep the first 15 taken. Each digger’s limit must be kept in a separate container.

All diggers 15 years or older must have a 2010-11 fishing license.
