The annual Kids 'n' Critters Naturefest at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park will begin Saturday and run through Feb. 21.
Visitors to the park outside Eatonville will have the chance to see animals in their winter coats as well as take part in games, nature-themed arts and crafts and other activities designed for children. Visitors also can enjoy trail-side encounters with some of the park’s smaller animals. Activities will be offered from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.
Up to four children ages 3 to 12 can visit the park for free with each paying adult. Tickets for adults are $15-$17.
People planning to attend should note that tram seating is limited to the first 1,500 visitors. All tram tours last 30 minutes.
If the weather is icy or windy, call 360-832-6117 to make sure the park is open before you leave home. No reservations required. The park is on state Route 161 north of Eatonville.
