The Puget Sound Chapter of Pheasants Forever will hold its 15th annual banquet March 19.
A social hour and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and a live auction at 7:30 p.m. The banquet will be held at the Tacoma Elks Club, 1965 S. Union Ave., Tacoma.
This is a family event and youth are especially welcome. There will be a special prize table for children who are attending.
This is the chapter’s only fundraising event of the year. Funds generated at the event are used only for projects in the state, said Dennis Wohlford, one of the event organizers.
“Our current emphasis is on habitat restoration, primarily in Eastern Washington, and special events to get our youth involved with the outdoors,” Wohlford said.
For several years the chapter has co-sponsored a trap shoot and a released pheasant hunt for youth at Joint Base Lewis McCord.
Single tickets are $60 (one dinner, one year’s membership); couples, $90 (two dinner tickets, one membership); and family, $110 (three dinners and family membership). Additional children’s tickets are $15 and include a Ringneck membership.
For tickets, contact George Frey at 253-845-7721 or email@example.com, or Pat Williams at 425-432-9192.
