Join bike ride to DuPont on May 30, with a stop for coffee

The Capital Bicycle Club is holding a DuPont coffee loop bike ride May 30, part of its Saturday Social Ride series.

The ride will cover 33 miles at a moderate pace (14-16 mph) , with 1,414 feet of elevation gain. The ride will be a mixture of flat road, swooping downhills and moderate climbs.

Riders should be ready to depart at 10 a.m. from South Bay Elementary, 3845 Sleater-Kinney Road NE, Olympia.

The group will head through Hawks Prairie, go down through the Nisqually Valley, and continue up to the turnaround in DuPont, where they will take a break at Forza Coffee.

For those who wish, the South Bay Pub and Eatery is near the finish for a post-ride beverage and bite to eat.

The ride leader is David Brine, d.brine@comcast.net or 360-280-9898. A route map and cue sheet are available at ridewithgps.com/routes/7010141.

Participants may ride once as a guest of the club, but must become members before joining a second ride. Learn more about the club at capitalbicycleclub.org.
