The Washington Fly Fishing Club, the oldest fly fishing club in the state, will hold a beginning fly tying class starting in January.
In the eight sessions, participants will learn how to tie the flies that will get the fish biting.
The classes will start at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 7. The sessions will be held at the Mercer Island Covenant Church, located at 3200 78th Ave. S.E., Mercer Island. The church is at the corner of 78th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 32nd Street.
There is a $45 per person registration fee that includes a manual and DVD of the fly tying instructions so you can continue tying at home.
