Jaeger's course-record 66 helps Saints finish second

Michael Jaeger shot a tournament course-record 66, helping Saint Martin's place second in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's golf tournament Tuesday at the Coeur d'Alene (Idaho) Resort Golf Course.

Saint Martin’s finished the 54-hole tournament at 22-over-par 878, 28 strokes behind Western Washington. Northwest Nazarene was third at 918 and Montana State Billings fourth at 927.

Jaeger finished third at 2-over 215. Western’s Xavier Dailly sank an 8-foot par putt on the final hole for a closing-round 67 to win at 4-under 209.

Jaeger shot rounds of 76, 73 and 66. Western’s Julian Peters also shot a 66 for a share of the course record, breaking the mark of 67 set by Western’s Sam Ayotte during Monday’s round.

Saint Martin’s Justin Lanman finished fifth at a 6-over 219, and teammate Zach Dietz was sixth at 7-over 220.
