Kentucky's John Calipari apologized for his profanity-laced tirade toward freshman Terrence Jones.
The coach apologized on his Twitter and Facebook pages after cameras caught him cursing Jones during Kentucky’s 68-66 loss Tuesday to Alabama.
Calipari says he “got caught up in the emotion of the game,” but added that it isn’t an excuse.
The talented Jones has raised Calipari’s ire for what the coach deems as selfish play. Jones finished with a team-high 17 points against Alabama, but also committed four turnovers.
Jones, from Portland’s Jefferson High, originally committed to Washington before changing his mind and going to Kentucky.
