Mike Kramer, a former head football coach at Eastern Washington and Montana State as well as Stadium High School in Tacoma, has been named football operations assistant at Washington State - a non-coaching position.
The head of WSU football operations is ex-Cougar quarterback Shawn Deeds.
Kramer was fired by Montana State after the 2006 season following a string of drug-related arrests involving people with ties to the Bobcats.

Six-foot-6-inch Amanda Gil, an All-American middle blocker at UCLA, has transferred to the University of Washington but won’t be available to play until 2011. … Boise State announced it has moved its football game this fall against Virginia Tech to Labor Day. The game will begin in prime time at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., home of the Washington Redskins. It had been scheduled for Oct. 2.
