Washington State basketball player DeAngelo Casto was arrested early Friday morning in Pullman and charged with fourth-degree assault.
Casto, a 6-foot-8, 241-pound sophomore from Spokane, allegedly was involved in a fight with another man. A WSU spokesperson said coaches will gather more information before making a decision on possible disciplinary measures.
Casto led the Pacific-10 Conference with 2.2 blocked shots per game and made the league’s all-defensive team. He was third on the Cougars in scoring (10.7 ppg) and led the team in rebounding (7.0 rpg).
