Erik Stevenson, a three-star basketball recruit from Timberline High School received his first Southeastern Conference offer on Wednesday from Louisiana State University.
He has two from the Pac-12 — Utah and Washington State — and 10 total Division I offers. He also picked up an offer from South Florida on Tuesday, and has offers from Yale, Boise State, Wichita State, Hawaii, Cal Poly and Old Dominion.
His offer from Wichita State last August is likely what drew the Tigers’ interest. Former Shockers assistant Greg Heiar joined the LSU staff in April.
Stevenson’s recruiting has dramatically picked up since the four-event AAU basketball circuit sponsored by the Under Armour Association began last month.
“My phone is vibrating, buzzing every day, every second with a website or a newspaper,” Stevenson said.
Stevenson plans to make his decision this summer following the conclusion of the AAU season.
