The Seattle Mariners claimed first baseman Tommy Everidge off waivers from the Oakland Athletics.
The Mariners announced Friday the addition of the 26-year-old, who made his major league debut with 24 games for Oakland last season.
Everidge hit .335 with 20 home runs and 94 RBI in 107 games last year at the Double-A and Triple-A levels before his promotion in July.
He hit .224 with two home runs in 84 at-bats for Oakland.
