Before you make a decision about who to choose for county commissioner, make sure you are choosing a candidate who will address your issues and concerns effectively.
I’m surprised that we continue to see glaringly inaccurate information sent by letter writers to the letters section of the newspaper concerning Biblical references to homosexuality.
I would like to share a concern about M-rated video games.
Republican candidate for governor Rob McKenna recently stated “he is not Scott Walker.” Mr. Walker, the now-infamous governor of Wisconsin, followed the well-scripted Republican agenda of attacking unions, assaulting women’s reproductive rights, and siding with the corporate elite against worker benefits and fair pay.
Here’s a challenge: Everyone who goes out and enjoys some of those great Memorial Day sales, take the money you saved at the sales and (1) donate it to a worthy cause such as the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, www.taps.org, or Bugles Across America, www.buglesacrossamerica.org.
A recent letter questioned the validity of the Christian Bible to be used as a “filter” through which our secular society establishes its laws. It would be instructive to consult with our Founding Fathers to see how “secular” our republic’s society was considered at its establishment.
The more I hear about the Boys & Girls Club at Garfield, the more I am puzzled by the process and potential waste. Before we move past the point of no return and dump the investment of time (three years) and donated or taxed funding ($70,000), can we at least ask how we got here?
Romney has an answer for everyone. And if you don’t like what he says today, just wait until tomorrow.
