People news: Yelm City Administrator Badger to join SCJ Alliance

Yelm City Administrator Shelly Badger is set to join the Lacey-based consulting firm SCJ Alliance after working for the city for more than 20 years.

Badger will become SCJ’s corporate services manager in September.

She will oversee human resources, information technology and administrative operations for the consulting firm’s offices. The business, formed in 2006 as Shea Carr Jewell, has since grown to 60 employees and five offices.

SCJ specializes in transportation planning and design, civil engineering and land-use planning.
