Grays Harbor driver suffers medical emergency, crashes into 2 cars near residence

A 59-year-old Elma man has been hospitalized after a colliding with two unoccupied vehicles in Grays Harbor County.

The collision occurred at about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 12 at Porter Creek Road, just south of Malone, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo.

The man reportedly drove his Ford F150 pickup truck off the roadway to the right while traveling west on the highway. He struck two vehicles that were parked in a residential driveway. The memo says first responders transported the man to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma.

State Patrol listed the cause as a medical emergency. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be involved, per the memo. The man reportedly wore a seat belt at the time.
