12th annual Denim & Diamonds: A fundraising event presented by the Karen Hilburn Breast and Cervical Cancer Fund, a chapter of Mason General Hospital Foundation, will be at 4 p.m. at the Alderbrook Resort & Spa in Union. Tickets are $50 per person with all proceeds to benefit women in the community needing assistance to pay for the diagnosis and treatment of breast and cervical cancers. Evening of Gospel music: The Liberty Quartet, a traditional Southern gospel quartet from Boise, will perform at 6 p.m. at the Mountain View Church of the Nazarene, 940 Israel Road, Tumwater. Sharing the platform with Liberty Quartet will be Olympia’s Lighthouse Gospel Quartet.

Freedom from Falls: Mason County Senior Activities Association is partnering with Mason General Hospital and Family of Clinics for the 3rd annual Fall Prevention event from 9:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Mason County Senior Activities Center at the Pavilion, 190 W Sentry Drive, Shelton. Program is free and has free drop-in health stations, including blood pressure checks and eyewear adjustments. The Senior Nutrition Program lunch is at noon. Fee is $6.25 for those under $60; suggested donation of $3-$5 for those 60 and over. For information and reservations, call 360-426-7374.
Conference week half-day camps: The Commons at Fertile Ground is offering half-day camps for children ages 6-10 Tuesday and Friday noon-5:30 p.m. during conference week for the Olympia School District. Children will spend the afternoon creating crafts and making their own snacks in our beautiful garden and outdoor kitchen. The cost is $35 per camper. Avanti Haunted School: Avanti High School hosts its third-annual Haunted School event 5:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 28-30in the Knox Building, 1113 Legion Way SE. The cost is $5 per person. Bingo Karaoke Party at the Shelton Pavilion: Enjoy a slightly goofy version of regular bingo that alternates with Karaoke and sing-a-long from 7-10 p.m. at the Shelton Pavilion, 190 Sentry Drive. Optional Halloween night theme this month. Cash bar and snacks for sale. Open to adults 21 and older. Cost: $10 cash per person for 8 games of bingo with $30 shared payouts. 50/50 games additional. Candy Land at Capital 9th annual Trunk or Treat: Trick or treat safely from ‘trunk-to-trunk’ instead of door-to-door at 6-9 p.m. at Capital Christian Center, 4431 Martin Way E, Olympia.
Zombies Everywhere: Trick or treaters who come to downtown Olympia on Halloween between 1 and 4 p.m. will find treats plus the chance to win a treasure chest full of prizes and gift certificates. A “zombie” (plush zombie bear) will be hidden in each participating location. Once a trick or treater finds it, they will be issued an entry form for the huge treasure chest drawing to be held at 4:45 p.m. at Archibald Sisters, 406 Capitol Way S.
