Winter weather advisory in effect for Olympia area

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Olympia area through 6 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

One to two inches of snow is expected to fall in the area, turning to a mix of snow with sleet or freezing rain by Monday morning.

By Monday afternoon, the weather is expected to transition to rain.
