South Sound People: Former Olympia mayor appointed to SPSCC Board of Trustees
Former Olympia mayor, Doug Mah recently was appointed to the Board of Trustees at South Puget Sound Community College.
Mah, was appointed by Gov. Jay Inslee and replaces Brian Vance, who served more than 10 years on the Board.
“I believe that community colleges are the cornerstone for building community and I am honored to be a small part of that work,” Mah stated in a press release announcing his appointment.
Mah owns Doug Mah & Associates, a full-service professional consulting firm, and serves on the boards of Washington State Employees Credit Union, the Thurston County Food Bank, and is currently Board of Trustees Chair for Capital Medical Center. He is a member of the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce, Gateway Rotary Club, Bloodworks Northwest — Thurston Mason Advisory Council, and he volunteers with the Olympia School District Education Foundation. Mah served as Olympia’s mayor from January 2008 through December 2011.
