Vehicle hits pedestrian on Ruddell Road in Lacey
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening on Ruddell Road, according to Lacey Fire District 3.
The incident occurred at 8:06 p.m. on Ruddell Road just south of Lacey Boulevard. A 20-year-old male pedestrian was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital and was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to Lacey Police Sgt. Jeremy Knight.
The pedestrian was hit by a Jeep, and the driver of the Jeep showed no signs of impairment, Knight said.
Ruddell Road was closed while Lacey police investigated the scene.
A witness reported that the man was on a skateboard when he was hit.
