Level 3 sex offender registers to live in Lacey

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office issued a general notification regarding 23-year-old level 3 sex offender David L. Cawthorn, who registered to live in the 4000 block of 12th Avenue Southeast, in Lacey.

Cawthorn pleaded guilty Sept. 14 in Thurston County Superior Court to one count of indecent liberties without forcible compulsion and one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes. He was sentenced to 20 months of confinement. The conviction stems from Cawthorn, then 21, sexually assaulting two males, ages 8 and 10.

Cawthorn is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches and 135 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes.
