UPDATE: Suspect in custody after hostage situation in Grand Mound
UPDATE (10:45 p.m.): The Thurston County Sheriff’s office reports that the standoff ended peacefully, with the suspect in custody.
Swat event in Grand Mound has come to a peaceful resolution. Suspect in custody and no injuries to anyone.

ORIGINAL POST: The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office was at the scene of a hostage situation Wednesday night in Grand Mound.
Sheriff John Snaza told The Olympian a man was holding his girlfriend and daughter hostage in a home near the intersection of Iris Place Southwest and 180th Way Southwest.
Residents were asked to stay away from the area.
