Alaska Airlines to resume flights between Seattle and Long Beach
After a decadelong hiatus, Alaska Airlines will resume flights between Seattle and Long Beach this fall.
The Long Beach-Seattle service will run two daily flights year-round beginning Sept. 8, according to an announcement Thursday.
The returning Long Beach-Seattle route makes Alaska the only airline to fly between Seattle and all five of the major Los Angeles Basin airports, continuing to serve more airports in California than any other airline, according to the release.
Alaska is also ramping up its international services this year, debuting nonstop flights to Rome, London and Reykjavík, Iceland, as part of its goal to provide nonstop flights to at least 12 international destinations by 2030. Its Seattle-Rome service launched April 28, while its flights to London and Reykjavík will start on May 22 and May 28, respectively.
