The Centralia College softball team picked up three wins in four tries over the weekend at the NWAC Crossover Tournament, topping Bellevue on Saturday before beating both Douglas and Yakima Valley on Saturday in Yakima.
Ava Hernandez was excellent in the Saturday opener against Bellevue, pitching all seven innings while allowing just two runs and striking out three in a 4-2 victory.
Natalie Loose hit two doubles and drove in a run, while both Lena Fragner and Hernandez both collected two hits at the plate. Michaela Dueck added two hits and an RBI of her own, and Makayla Chavez and Sheridan Hammons also drove in a run apiece.
In the loss to Columbia Basin, CC went up 4-1 in the second, but was outscored 11-1 from that point on and lost 12-5.
Loose picked up another three hits and an RBI, Chavez added two hits and two RBIs, and Emma Hoffmeister added two hits and an RBI of her own.
In Sunday's opener against Douglas, the Trailblazers trailed 6-4 going into the bottom of the fourth, but they scored once in that frame before putting up five in the fifth to take the lead. They eventually won 10-7.
Sara Haury picked up three hits and drove in two runs, Dueck went 3 for 3 with two doubles and drove in another two runs, and Lena Fragner went a perfect 4 for 4 with a double of her own.
CC capped its weekend with a 7-2 win over Yakima Valley. Hoffmeister impressed in the circle, allowing just four hits and two runs while striking out six in a complete-game effort.
Gracie Schofield added three hits and an RBI at the plate, while Macey Fleutesch drove in three runs as part of a 2 for 4 day.

Baseball swept by LCC
The Centralia College baseball team lost two games against Lower Columbia College on Saturday in Centralia, capping a Red Devil four-game series sweep.
The Trailblazers couldn't get the bats going in either game, as they combined for just four hits in the 10-0 and 3-0 losses.
Mitchell Rowe picked up the lone hit of Game 1, a seven-inning loss, while Brandt Kneisler, Jace Bykari, and Kaleb Campbell picked up a hit apiece in the nightcap.
Isaac Watson had a solid outing on the bump in Game 2, allowing three runs while striking out seven in seven innings of work, and Reece Hudson faced the minimum in two scoreless innings of relief.
CC (15-21, 3-9 NWAC) has now lost seven games in a row, a skid it'll look to snap at home in a doubleheader against Pierce on Thursday.
