President Trump Was Very Impressed By Handicaps Of Top NCAA Golfers
A few college golfers impressed President Donald Trump during an honorary dinner on Tuesday.
Trump had over 100 collegiate champions at the White House this Tuesday in honor of NCAA Collegiate National Champions Day. The men's golf team for Oklahoma State was at this dinner since they're the defending national champions.
Unsurprisingly, Oklahoma State's golf team earned plenty of praise from the president of the United States.
"I meet all these golfers over here. I said, ‘what are your handicaps?' ‘Plus four, plus five even.' That's good stuff," Trump said. "He actually said ‘higher than that.' I said, ‘you got to be kidding me, right?' That's great. Great. Congratulations. Great team. I heard about the team
What's President Trump's handicap?
Back in June 2025, the Golf Handicap Information Network had the president's golf handicap listed at 2.8. Of course, some fans have questioned if that number is accurate.
Trump's skills on the golf course have definitely impressed some of the game's top stars, including Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler.
"He's one of those guys when you're around him, he does such a good job of, like, feeding confidence into everybody around him," Scheffler said of Trump. "That was one of the things I noticed a lot with the little bit of time I spent with him, is he treats everybody the same and treats people with the utmost respect. Whether you're the person serving us lunch or the caddie on the golf course or the guy who's the president of the club that we're at, he treats everybody like they're the greatest person in the world."
It's unclear when Trump will return to the golf course.
