Sports Quote of the Day: Clayton Kershaw Shares Important Reminder
Clayton Kershaw is one of the greatest pitchers in Los Angeles Dodgers history. The pitcher retired after the 2025 MLB season as a three-time World Series champion, 11-time All-Star, three-time Cy Young winner and one-time MVP. In all reality, Kershaw is one of the best pitchers in recent memory.
In today's game, players often switch teams on a fairly consistent basis. There are not many players who spend their entire careers with one ball club. Kershaw, though, played his entire career in Los Angeles with the Dodgers. He knew that spending all of his time in MLB with one organization, especially a historic one like the Dodgers, was something to be proud of.
Clayton Kershaw's Loyalty to Dodgers
Kershaw made his MLB debut in 2008 with the Dodgers and never looked back. There were rumors that he could sign with the Texas Rangers late in his career -- Kershaw is from Texas -- but he ended up never leaving the Dodgers.
During his time at the MLB level, Kershaw once commented on what it meant to him to represent the Dodgers. It was something that he knew was special. His quote serves as a perfect reminder that we should never take anything for granted.
I'll never take for granted the opportunity to put on a Dodger uniform.
