Mina Kimes Faces Scrutiny For Her Top 10 NFL Quarterbacks List
With the 2026 season less than four months away, ESPN's Mina Kimes and Ben Solak has ranked the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL.
Even though Patrick Mahomes had an underwhelming 2025 season (3,587 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions) with the Kansas City Chiefs, he came in at No. 1 on Kimes' list. Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson were ranked second and third, respectively.
The reigning MVP of the league, Matthew Stafford, failed to crack the top 10 for Kimes and Solak. This surprised fans considering he completed 65% of his passes last season for 4,707 yards with 46 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
"If we're doing this on a one-year timeline, he'd be top five," Kimes explained. "This is a three-year timeline. We have no idea how long he's going to play."
Here's the full top-10 from Kimes and Solak:
- Patrick Mahomes
- Josh Allen
- Lamar Jackson
- Joe Burrow
- Drake Maye
- Justin Herbert
- Dak Prescott
- Caleb Williams
- Jordan Love
- Jayden Daniels
NFL fans don't agree with Kimes.
Several fans aired out their complaints about Kimes and Solak's list on social media this Thursday.
"The reigning NFL MVP outside the top 10," one fan said. "Some people just shouldn't have a platform man."
"I love Mina, but this may be her worst QB list ever," a second fan wrote. "I'm a Seahawks fan, but how anyone can not have league MVP Matthew Stafford at number one is beyond my comprehension. And having guys like Maye, Caleb Williams, Herbert and Lawrence over SB champ Sam Darnold is absolutely crazy. And let's be 100% honest here, Mahomes hasn't been the best QB in the NFL for at least two years."
"WHY IS NOT JALEN HURTS ON THIS LIST?" another fan asked.
It'll be fun to see how these power rankings age during the 2026 season.
