Viral Victor Wembanyama, Jalen Brunson Moment Resurfaces Before NBA Finals

Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Brunson are set for a superstar matchup in the NBA Finals as the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks face off in the upcoming championship series.

These two historic franchises have some notable history with these two players at the helm.

Wembanyama’s first career 40-point game came during a 130-126 overtime victory over the Knicks during his rookie season in 2023-24. The No. 1 overall pick and Rookie of the Year led the Spurs to victory with 40 points, 20 rebounds and seven assists - flashing the potential of what was to come in his NBA career.

In the same game, Brunson dropped a career-high 61 points.

Wembanyama secured a steal on a long pass to seal victory for the Spurs. After a brief moment of celebration, the 7-foot-4 Frenchman launched the ball into the stands at San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center.

The NBA fined Wembanyama $25,000 for the act.

This viral moment has resurfaced as the Knicks and Spurs prepare for their 2026 Finals matchup.
