Tennis Fans Loved Maria Sharapova's Surprise Appearance At French Open

Maria Sharapova won't be coming out of retirement like Serena Williams, but she caused quite the stir at Roland Garros this week.

Sharapova, the former world No. 1, captured five Grand Slam titles during her career. She's got a ton of admiration for Roland Garros in large part because she won the women's title there in 2012 and 2014.

On Tuesday night, Sharapova was at Court Philippe-Chatrier to watch the quarterfinals. The 39-year-old legend wore a black blazer that caught everyone's attention.

"Queen glowing as always," one fan wrote.

"She's looking fabulous," a second fan said.

"Still looking like an absolute queen after all these years," a third fan commented. "Roland Garros feels better with her around."

"Roland Garros just got a little more iconic," another fan declared.

What is Sharapova up to these days?

Sharapova announced in April that she's launching her own podcast with Vox Media called "Pretty Tough."

"Introducing Pretty Tough, my new show about the pursuit of excellence without apology," Sharapova wrote on Instagram. "It challenges how we discuss female ambition and explores the multitudes that make us. Here's a little sneak peak into what's to come. Episode 1 releases on April 22. You can subscribe wherever you get your podcasts."

Sharapova has already had Jeanie Buss, Ashley Graham, Chelsea Handler and Zoe Saldana on her show.

Time will tell if Sharapova's podcast ends up being a huge hit.
