Anacortes American Girls Athlete of the Week: Elliot Davis

Elliot Davis finished her track and field season with a state title.

The junior won the girls' javelin on Friday, May 29, with a school-record throw of 135 feet, 9 inches.

It was the second consecutive week Davis had a personal-best mark.

On May 20, she won the Northwest 2A District title at 123-0.

At the state meet, Davis also ran on her school's 800 relay team that finished eighth and on its 1,600 relay team.

"We could not be prouder of the dedication and hard work that Elliot showed this year," Anacortes coach Brad Templeton said.
