Man delivers goods to areas hard hit by natural disasters

On Jan. 2, 2006, winds whipped a fast-moving fire across the small ranch town of Ringgold. The fire swallowed 50 homes and scorched tens of thousands of acres of grassland between Ringgold and Nocona to the southeast. Many residents were left homeless with nothing to their name.

Volunteers digging near Minute Maid Park recently found children's marbles, ceramic pieces marked in German, glass-blown bottles and 20th-century rubber boots — all signs of a nearly 200-year-old community that foreshadowed the diverse and multicultural metropolis that is Houston.

Huskies win a wild one over Arizona, 35-28 in overtime

There was a missed field goal to end the first half, and another in the fourth quarter. There was an interception at the 1-yard line that killed a promising drive just minutes prior. A failed 4th-and-1 run that killed a clock-chewing drive in the third quarter. A game-tying touchdown by the Arizona Wildcats with 17 seconds to play.
