Billed as the “Dream Team of Stand Up Comedy,” comedians Brad Upton, Kelsey Cook, Geoff Lott and Rodney Sherwood, several of which are Northwest favorites, have been touring the country performing. Come tickle your funny bone when they take the stage in a 7:30 p.m. show Saturday at the Washington Center for Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia. Support your local artist
Gather up some of your art-loving friends and make plans to take in the 14th Annual ARTrails gala and studio tour. The tour opens with a gala reception, 4-8 p.m. Friday (Sept. 16) at the Historic Centralia Train Depot, 210 Railroad Ave. Each artist on the tour has one piece of art on display at the Exhibition Gallery in the Train Depot open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sept. 25. Get adventurous, take to the road and visit the 44 artists participating in the tour throughout Southwest Washington from Centralia to Winlock. Dear Diary and other embarrassments

Make it a night of pajamas and movies by joining Theater Artists Olympia at its Fabulous Glitter Road Trip starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be hot waffles and two films: “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” and “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Auto aficionados fete summer’s end
Even though school has started and the temperature has dropped, there’s still time to celebrate at the Annual Summer’s End at Lacey Car Show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Classic sci-fi on the big screen
Meant to be seen on the big screen, Stanley Kubrick’s classic sci-fi film “2001: A Space Odyssey” will be shown at Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. SE, Olympia. The 6:30 p.m. screening Friday (Sept. 16) will have a post-film discussion with Leslie Shore. There will be an additional showing at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $9, $5 Olympia Film Society members.

LaVon Hardison performs your favorites
Take in an evening of great music when local vocalist LaVon Hardison holds a CD release party and performs in an 8 p.m. show Friday (Sept. 16) at Traditions Café and World Folk Art, 300 Fifth Ave. SW, Olympia. Performing jazz standards and her arrangements of popular songs, Hardison will be joined by David Deacon Joyner on piano, Douglas Barnett on bass and Jeff Busch on drums.
