Fun things to do in Thurston County this week

A romantic comedy about a wager over a woman’s virtues, Shakespeare’s “Cymbeline,” continues at Harlequin Productions’ State Theater, 202 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20-$34, although $15 rush tickets are available at the box office 30 minutes before curtain. Come out for a night of comedy at Stand Up for Mental Health. Comedians David Granirer and Sam Miller will perform two shows with a theme of “I’m OK But You Need Professional Help: Creating Recovery One Laugh At A Time.” Shows are at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shelton High School, 3737 N. Shelton Springs Road and 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Minnaert Center for the Arts at South Puget Sound Community College, 2011 Mottman Road SW, Olympia. For more information, call 360-493-6021. No cover charge, but donations will be accepted for Granirer’s “Stand Up For Mental Health” program that teaches stand-up comedy to people with mental illness or mental health issues as a way of building confidence and fighting public stigma. Kicking off its new season, Olympia Symphony Orchestra will present “Opening Statements,” which includes works by Joseph Curiale, Carl Nielsen and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Tickets are $7-60 for the 7 p.m. performance Sunday at the Washington Center for Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia.

At the Olympia Jazz Walk, 10 venues will play host to live jazz performed by local musicians as well as national acts. The one-night jazz spectacular will include more than 50 musicians at Fish Brewing, Oly Underground, Compass Rose, Captain Little, Art House Designs, Phoenix Vapor Cafe, Browsers Books, Little General Food Shop, Encore Chocolates & Teas, and Papillon Marketplace. Performances run 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday. Tickets are $15-$20 if ordered online at olympiajazzwalk.com or $20-$30 at the door. All proceeds benefit jazz education, performance and scholarships.
