Did Ryan Die in ‘The Boys' Season 5? Spoilers on Homelander's Son
“The Boys” Season 5 marks the grand finale for the series as Billy Butcher’s crew attempts to thwart Homelander’s grand plans of world domination.
It features the return of many of the main and recurring characters from previous seasons. Among them is Ryan, Homelander’s son, whom he had with Becca, Butcher’s late wife.
Cameron Crovetti portrays Ryan, the first natural-born Supe, who inherited many of the same superpowers as his powerful father. However, they’re not quite as strong as Homelander’s, and that becomes painfully obvious in a brutal scene in Season 5.
In Episode 3, “Every One of You Sons of B****es,” viewers see Ryan go to find Homelander so he can confront him and attack him after what Butcher told him happened with Becca. However, Homelander gains the upper hand and, in an extremely brutal scene, slams Ryan on his back through a table, then repeatedly punches his own son in the face.

That leaves Ryan’s face bloody and bruised, and it seems that his own father has killed him off. Butcher ultimately discovers Ryan, with whom he had previously bonded like a father would with a son.
However, viewers see that Ryan still has some life left in him as Butcher brings him to a safe place so he can recover. In Episode 4, “King of Hell,” Ryan comes to and discusses things with Butcher.
Later on, one of Butcher’s boys asks about Ryan, and Butcher says he “two-legged it,” which, to some viewers who misheard, might have sounded like “didn’t make it.” It appears Ryan has set off on his own quest, though it’s unclear where he’s going or when viewers might see him again.
Possibly, he’s searching for that powerful version of Compound V, known as V1, that everyone else wants to get their hands on to either inject or destroy. Or, there’s also the possibility he wants to find Zoe Neuman again.
There are four episodes left before “The Boys” ends, which means four episodes for something else to happen with Ryan. The finale arrives on May 20.
Based on the previous confrontation between him and Homelander, one has to think Ryan could play an important role in the big fight against his delusional father.
