‘Law & Order' Star Odelya Halevi Teases Shocking Season 25 Finale Twist

"Law & Order" fans may want to brace themselves for the Season 25 finale.

According to star Odelya Halevi, the upcoming final episode delivers a surprise ending unlike anything the show has done - at least during her time on the series.

Halevi, who plays Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun, hinted to TV Insider on Thursday, April 23, that the finale's courtroom outcome will definitely catch viewers off guard.

"Well, the ending of the finale really surprised me," she said. "I don't think we've done anything like that in the whole five seasons that I've been a part of."

Halevi, 37, added, "And so I can't tell you what it is, but the verdict is definitely not what we would expect it to be."

That teaser alone is enough to raise eyebrows. And beyond the shocking verdict, Halevi suggested the finale will also put the spotlight on Maroun's partnership with fellow prosecutor Nolan Price (played by Hugh Dancy).

"I would say it's more about her relationship with Nolan in terms of her and Nolan working together to win this case, things that they have learned to overcome and the trust between the two of them," she explained to the outlet.

For longtime viewers, that may be just as notable as the legal twist. Maroun and Nolan have faced tension at times, but Halevi says this finale shows them fully aligned: "That's the thing. It's probably the first time, not the first time, but one of the only times where there's no conflict there. They are a team."

The finale news arrives during an emotional week for the "Law & Order" universe. Mariska Hargitay revealed she "burst out in tears" after learning costar Christopher Meloni's "Law & Order: Organized Crime" would not return for a sixth season.

"I immediately burst out in tears because it has, just like he said, and he was so beautiful and open - because it has been a great ride," Hargitay, 62, said.

Meloni, 65, famously brought fan-favorite detective Elliot Stabler back to television in 2021 when "Organized Crime" launched.
