Zooey Deschanel's Birthday Post for Jonathan Scott Has Fans Obsessed
Actress Zooey Deschanel showered her fiancé, HGTV star Jonathan Scott, with birthday wishes in honor of his 48th birthday.
On April 28, Deschanel took to her Instagram account to share several photos of Jonathan throughout their six-year relationship.
"Happy Birthday @jonathanscott, can't wait to celebrate you. I'm truly so lucky," read the caption of the post.
Jonathan responded to the post, writing, "Thanks for showing me the BEST time for my birthday."

Zooey Deschanel Opened up About Her Relationship With Jonathan Scott in a 2025 Interview
Deschanel opened up about her relationship with Jonathan in a December 2025 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, hosted by Alex Cooper. She told Cooper that she feels at ease with Jonathan, whom she met in 2019 after filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke together.
"You know how people are like, 'That person's the one or whatever.' I think what that means is that you can be around them and it feels like easy and not stressful. And you know that's what I felt when I was with him. And I think he feels the same way, where it's just like we can be together and like have fun," said the New Girl actress in the podcast interview.
Deschanel also shared that she and Jonathan have been doing some wedding planning. She referenced that she has been divorced twice, and Jonathan was previously married to Kelsy Ully until 2013.
"We've both been married before, right? So, I'm like, this one has to be the most fun," said Deschanel, who shares two children, Elsie, 10, and Charlie, 8, with her second ex-husband, Jacob Pechenik.
In addition, Deschanel suggested that she and Jonathan were having some difficulty trying to find a wedding venue.
"It's really like a lot of pressure because he designs incredible spaces. And I'm like there's like no space worthy of such a wedding. It's really hard to find one that's not like a gazillion dollars," said the She & Him singer during the December 2025 interview.
