Disneyland Releasing Patriotic New Food Items for Fourth of July Celebration

It's become almost a given that Disney will introduce new limited-time treats to celebrate a major holiday.

Whether looking at their limited-edition offerings for Halloween or Christmas, there's no question that Disney's iconic theme parks do seasonal celebrations right. Case in point with the upcoming arrival of several new food items planned for Disneyland, all of which will tie into the country's historic 250th anniversary this Fourth of July.

According to a new post on Instagram, Disneyland is set to roll out a variety of patriotic meals, snacks and other treats for the upcoming holiday. These new treats include:

  • Red, White & Blue Punch: a refreshingly sweet beverage with red and white layers topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream. (Available at Smokejumpers Grill.)
  • Apple Pie Churro: a generously sized churro topped with apple pie filling, whipped cream and a caramel drizzle. (Available at Willie's Churros.)
  • S'mores Marshmallow Wand: a marshmallow stick coated in chocolate and topped with crushed graham cracker, vanilla drizzle and red, white and blue star-shaped sprinkles. (Available at various candy locations throughout Disneyland Resort.)
  • Rocket Soda: a thirst-quenching beverage made with Sprite, blue raspberry syrup, whipped cream and cherry-flavored popping pearls. (Available at Refreshment Corner.)
  • Patriotic Mickey Caramel Apple: an eye-catching caramel apple topped with blue frosting and white sprinkles and Mickey-shaped ears. (Available at various candy locations throughout Disneyland Resort.)

As delicious as the new treats sound, most fans' attention has been centered around a collectible new popcorn bucket featuring the likeness of The Muppets' Sam the Eagle. Available at most popcorn carts through Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park, the new bucket features Sam in Uncle Sam-themed attire, and is available only while supplies last.

As expected, the announcement of these food items and the Sam the Eagle collectible has been met with significant acclaim among fans.

"Pleaaaaase bring Sam to WDW!!" one account commented on Instagram.

"Hurray for exciting new treats ahead!" another user shared.

The new Disney-themed treats arrive at Disneyland on May 21, while the collectible popcorn bucket will debut later in the summer.
