Total War: Warhammer III Bhashiva Character Pack Brings Tiger Warriors To Grand Cathay on May 21
Creative Assembly is dropping a new Character Pack into Total War: Warhammer III on May 21, 2026. The Bhashiva Character Pack introduces a new Legendary Lord - Bhashiva, the White Tiger of Shang-Yang - alongside a mercenary company of Tiger Warriors fighting for the armies of Grand Cathay. It's priced at $4.99 USD on Steam, and notably gives players who don't already own Grand Cathay content access to the core Grand Cathay roster as part of the pack.
Bhashiva, the Desert Tigress
Bhashiva leads the Claws of the White Tiger, a new rebel faction within Grand Cathay's territory. The pack's battle playstyle is built around speed, agility, and stealth - Bhashiva and her Tiger Warriors fight as an aggressive pack, stalking the battlefield before striking targets with precise violence. It's a meaningful departure from the disciplined formation-based combat that defines most of Grand Cathay's standard roster, giving players a more predatory option within the same faction umbrella.

Two New Campaign Mechanics
The pack introduces two campaign features specific to Bhashiva's faction. Armies of Shang-Yang lets Bhashiva call upon her home armies to bolster her military power. Players complete missions for Zhao Ming to earn Iron Favour, which can then be spent to expand army and unit capacity, or to assign Insignias to Cathayan units. The system allows individual unit specialization through training and shared insights from across Grand Cathay, building a battle-hardened force over the course of a campaign.
The second mechanic is The Tiger Court, which is where matters of great importance to the faction are decided. Bhashiva passes judgment by choosing one of three strategic Pillars. Capturing key settlements and completing Ivory Road journeys earns Relics, which let players enact sweeping Oaths to shape their faction's identity and long-term strategy. It's a thematically rich system that gives the pack more campaign weight than a typical Character Pack.
Worth Noting
Originally, Neferata was the planned Legendary Lord for this Character Pack - Creative Assembly later decided to convert her into a Free DLC arriving with the upcoming Update 9.0 instead. That's a meaningful shift in how the studio is structuring its content moving forward, with the paid pack reserved for a brand new character original to the Warhammer 3 era rather than a returning fan favorite. Bhashiva also continues the post-launch push that Creative Assembly committed to following December's Tides of Torment DLC, which itself arrived after a notable delay tied to AI recruitment bug fixes. The studio's update cadence has clearly stabilized since then.
