Watch: Sophie Thatcher stars in Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Her Private Hell'

May 18 (UPI) -- Neon is introducing Her Private Hell, the first new film in 10 years from Drive and Only God Forgives director Nicolas Winding Refn.

The studio released a teaser trailer for the movie Monday following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it screened Out of Competition.

Her Private Hell is a horror thriller starring Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets, Companion) and Charles Melton (Riverdale).

"When a mysterious mist engulfs a futuristic metropolis, unleashing a deadly and elusive entity, a troubled young woman searches for her father. Her quest collides with an American GI on a harrowing odyssey to rescue his daughter from Hell," an official synopsis reads.

Kristine Froseth, Havana Rose Liu and Diego Calva also star.

Her Private Hell opens in theaters July 24.
