'Gilmore Girls' Actress On Character's Full Circle Moment Decades Later: 'People See You Now, Girl'
Arielle Kebbel is happy to see that her Gilmore Girls character is finally getting the recognition she deserves.
Kebbel, who played Lindsay Lister, the girlfriend-turned-wife, and then ex-wife, of Jared Padalecki's Dean Forester, reflected on how fans have treated her character over the years.
"I have such a love for her," Kebbel said in a recent interview with Stylecaster. "I also understood why fans hated her in the beginning, so I was all good all of it. The fact that it's come full circle now is the most pleasant surprise because I kind of at peace with the whole thing."
The 41-year-old actress also shared that the role was her first acting role that brought her to Los Angeles.
The show, which aired from 2000-2007, followed the mother-daughter relationship between Rory and Lorelai Gilmore, played by Lauren Graham. Kebbel's character wasn't initially liked as she dated Forester following his break-up with Rory. However later in the show, when the two are married, he cheats on her with Rory, which ultimately results in their divorce.
Nearly two decades after the show has been off the air, and has since found new life, as well as a whole new crop of fans on Netflix, Kebbel is loving how fans have changed their tune when it comes to her character.
"The whole 'Justice for Lindsay' thing, it like warms my heart and brings me so much joy," she said. "Wherever Lindsay is out there, it makes me like, smile and wink at her."
"I'm like, 'See? People see you now, girl. Good for you,'" she joked.

Following the show's ending in 2007, the show was rebooted in Netflix thanks to its 4-part series 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in The Life.' While Kebbel's character did not make an appearance, Padalecki's character did.
Kebbel, went on to star in 'John Tucker Must Die' and is currently starring in the CBS series Marshals.
