Captain Jason Makes a Shocking Decision About Jenna's Future on ‘Below Deck Down Under'
In a surprising twist, second stew Jenna Woudberg is demoted on Below Deck Down Under after her shocking crash-out during the crew's night out.
After the addition of Barbie Pascual put Jenna on edge, Jenna made it clear to Barbie that she was pursuing both Chef Ben Robinson and deckhand Eddy Hounsell. She then started sending flirty texts to Eddy, telling him she missed him, while continuing to flirt with Ben. Her attempt to lock down both crew members backfired when Eddy shared the texts with Ben, leading both men to conclude they were being played.
So when Ben confronted Jenna and then friend-zoned her at dinner, and Eddy made it clear he was annoyed with her, she began to spiral, with her tantrum spilling out to the rest of the yachties. She lashed out at Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher when Daisy tried to speak with her, then took her tearful breakdown back to the boat.
Jenna confronted Ben in his cabin before angrily slamming doors, cornering Eddy, yelling at stew Alesia Harris, and climbing over furniture, while the stunned crew watched the meltdown unfold. "Jenna's actions right now are unacceptable," Second Officer João Franco says in a confessional. "Literally running up and down the main salon. Slamming doors, screaming, shouting, it's becoming poisonous and toxic and uncontrollable."
After stumbling and yelling her way into her cabin, Jenna leaves the crew stunned - and Eddy genuinely concerned for her. The next morning, he even sends Jenna a message asking if he can hug her, but she ignores the text. Instead, she finds Ben in a guest cabin, where the two begin snuggling and kissing. And just as things heat up, guess who comes looking for her? Eddy.
Now Eddy is spiraling right alongside Jenna. At this point, both Ben and Daisy fill Captain Jason Chambers in on what's been happening. Although Captain Jason plans to speak with Eddy, the anger, hurt, and frustration continue to build. By the time the captain finally reaches him, Eddy says he's ready to quit.
Fed up with the drama, Captain Jason calls Jenna and Daisy to the bridge, which is when he tells Jenna he's demoting her from second stew. "I don't like getting involved too much in personal stuff, but the last 24 hours I've had two people come to me with concerns," Captain Jason tells Jenna. "We nearly lost Ed. That's a concern. As it's starting to affect my team. I'm not penalizing you. I want you to learn."
He continued, "I'm going to take away your role as second stewardess." Jenna agreed with Captain Jason's decision, but is tearful and sobbing back in her cabin.
Demoting Jenna may have done the trick because Jenna returns to work, head down, despite the demotion.
Below Deck Down Under is on Mondays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
