Doublelift Returns to Team Liquid as Content Creator

Former North American League of Legends pro Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng is back with Team Liquid as a content creator. The organization announced his return on the official Team Liquid YouTube channel.

Doublelift's History With Team Liquid

Doublelift first joined Team Liquid briefly in March 2017 on loan from TSM, where he helped TL survive relegations. He officially joined the team as their starting bot laner before the start of the 2018 season.

Domestically, Doublelift helped Team Liquid become a dominant force in North America's LCS during his time with the team. He won four straight LCS titles with them, which helped him become the winningest player in LCS history.

Internationally, Doublelift made his first international finals with Team Liquid. They reached the finals of the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational after sweeping Worlds 2018 champions Invictus Gaming in the semifinals.

Doublelift parted ways with Team Liquid before the 2020 LCS Summer Split after he was traded to TSM.

Doublelift's Plans as Team Liquid Content Creator

Doublelift stated in his return video that he plans to co-stream the LCS under Team Liquid's banner. He mentioned that he thought it would be cool to be associated with a team. Signing with Team Liquid made the most sense to him because of their past history together.

Additionally, Doublelift also plans to run a "Retirement Home" tournament in collaboration with Team Liquid. Joining the team makes it easier to make his tournament possible.

Finally, Doublelift mentioned that he's now signed with Team Liquid for two years and he's excited about this new undertaking.
