Two of comedy’s biggest names — Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy — will perform at the Washington State Fair on Sept. 23. The pair are currently on their “We’ve Been Thinking Tour,” which features new material from both comedians.

Both comics gained famed with some catch phrases that are part of today’s lexicon. Foxworthy coined the term “You might be a redneck if ...,” while the Cable Guy made “Git-r-done” famous.

Foxworthy has sold more than 30 million albums in his career, more than any other comic, according to the Monday news release announcing the show. In addition, he is a best selling author, writing more than 26 books.

The 57-year-old Foxworthy has released six comedy albums, the first two were certified as multiplatinum in sales. His career has also included the TV sitcom “The Jeff Foxworthy Show,” which lasted just one season, and his role as host of “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” on Fox and “The Bucks of Tecomate” on NBC Sports Network. He’s also done voice work, including the character “Handy” in the Smurf movies.

Larry the Cable Guy, actually Daniel Lawrence Whitney, has released seven albums, three of which were certified gold.

The career of the 53-year-old comic has included being the host on the History Channel show “Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy”. While certainly famous with adults for his southern-style humor, Whitney — or his voice — is equally famous with children for his role as “Mater” the tow truck in the animated “Cars” movies.

Foxworthy and Whitney also performed together, along with Bill Engvall and Ron White, on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. The Comedy Channel movie of the initial tour was the highest-rated movie on the channel at that time. The two also have their own channel on Sirius XM, Jeff and Larry’s Comedy Roundup.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. The cost is $55-$80, and includes admission to the fair. Tickets will be available at thefair.com, 888-559-3247 7 a.m.-8 p.m. daily or at the fair box office. Service fees will be charged.
