Hell’s Belles pays tribute to AC/DC

For all you dedicated AC/DC fans, come out for a night of great music when Hell’s Belles, the all-female tribute band, performs in a 9 p.m. show Friday (April 8). Get your rock on at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. SE, Olympia. Tickets are $15, $10 for Olympia Film Society members. The Mezzanine Lounge (21 and older) will be open. Get a taste of island life at St. Martin’s

Celebrating and spreading Hawaiian culture, the Hui ‘O Hawai’i Club is hosting its annual Luau from 5-8 p.m. Saturday. Get a taste of the island life with traditional Hawaiian food and Polynesian dances. Taking place at Saint Martin’s University, Marcus Pavilion, 5000 Abbey Way SE, Lacey. Tickets are $20; $10 alumni, staff and faculty; and $5 for students, and can be purchased at the student center front desk or by contacting jamie.rosenberg@stmartin.edu.

Immerse yourself

in Irish culture

Get into the world of Ireland at the annual Sean-nos Northwest Festival this weekend. Celebrating and promoting sean-nos singing, dancing and the Irish language, the festival is sure to entertain and educate with workshops, performances and more. It’s taking place at The Evergreen State College’s Communications Building. Hours are 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday; seannos.org.

Master martial arts moves

at ‘The Last Dragon’

Jump back to 1985 when martial arts movies were the craze at the screening of “The Last Dragon” at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. SE, Olympia. There will be a question-and-answer session, plus a book signing with the star of the film, Taimak (Leroy Green) after the screening. 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Four Freshmen

to perform jazz classics

As part of the South Puget Sound Community College Jazz Series, The Four Freshmen will bring the acoustic flavor of jazz classics and standards in a 5 p.m. concert Sunday. The quartet has headlined concerts internationally since 1948 with the current lineup including Tommy Boynton, Curtis Calderon, Stein Malvey and Bob Ferreira. Come out to the Minnaert Center for the Arts, 2011 Mottman Road SW, Olympia, for a night of jazz. Tickets are $35 general, $30 seniors and military and available at olytix.org.

Make it an evening of Kirtan, sacred music and chanting when Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda come to Unity of Olympia, 1335 Fern St. SW, Olympia. Aerial acrobats bring the outdoors to life

Set in the world of North American lumberjacks, farmers and the woods, “Timber! by Cirque Alfonse” brings to life aerial acrobatics directly inspired by the natural raw material of the forest and farm.
