Local theater closes temporarily due to COVID case
Local theater troupe Harlequin Productions will move upcoming performances of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” to July 21 through Aug. 6 after a positive COVID-19 case within the company is forcing it to shut down temporarily.
Harlequin issued a news release Tuesday saying those who were scheduled to see performances on July 9, July 10, and July 14-17 have been notified of the cancellations, and the show has been extended to allow them to see it during its run time.
“I’m really proud of our whole team and our ability to be nimble in handling this difficult situation with grace and careful consideration,” artistic director Aaron Lamb said. “I’m also proud of the protocols and procedures we have in place to keep our audience and company safe.”
If those wanting to see the show need to reschedule their performance viewing, they can contact boxoffice@harlequinproductions.org or call 360-786-0151. The business hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Tickets also are available online.
The Thursday, Aug. 4 performance will be a Pay What You Choose production.
