Gigi Hadid’s Sister Joked With Taylor Swift About Travis Kelce Being a ‘Good Lay’

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's love was quite literally in the cards! Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid's older sister, Marielle Hadid, revealed that she encouraged the Grammy-winning artist to go after the NFL star, even if it was just for "a good lay."

Marielle, 40, reflected on hanging out with Taylor before her Santa Clara stop of the Eras tour in July 2023, before she met Travis, 35. While pulling tarot cards for her, she also subtly played matchmaker.

"I did pull a card for her because I had seen something where [Travis] had said that he wanted to date her," Marielle said during the Wednesday, May 21, episode of the "Nice Girls Don't Win" podcast, admitting that she told Taylor that she "should date" Travis.

"So, I told Gigi and I told her, I was like, ‘Come on, even if it's just for fun,'" Marielle recalled to hosts Parvati Shallow and Amy Bean. "So, I pulled this card for her, and I don't exactly remember which deck it was, but I remember that it was in regards to this, and the word ‘swiftly' was in the reading."

The model shared that Taylor, 35, "had never had a tarot card reading before," something that she thought was "interesting."

"So, I take all responsibility for [the relationship]!" Marielle gushed, later adding, "I was like, ‘Come on.' … She deserves it."

Marielle's push for Taylor and Travis to become an item was a success, as the couple has made great strides in their relationship since they started dating in September 2023.

Traylor is nearing their two-year anniversary, and the "Shake It Off" singer has been a positive influence in the professional athlete's life. In February, a source exclusively told Life & Style that Taylor has helped him "become a better man."

"Travis has had girlfriends before, but none that he tried to impress the way he has with Taylor," the insider noted at the time. "Taylor comes first in his life. This is a big deal for Travis."

Travis' older brother, Jason Kelce, echoed the same sentiment that month and explained how the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was "changing" and "growing up."

"I think sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you and that's a good thing," Jason, 37, explained during a February 18 episode of the "Fitz & Whit" podcast.

He later added, "I think he'll always have that. It's just part of his personality. … Anyone that's ever met Trav, you can't but just love the guy. He's a free spirit in the best possible way."

The pair are both experiencing downtime in their booked and busy schedules, as Travis is on his offseason of the NFL, while Taylor is recharging from her 149-show run of the Eras tour, which ended in December 2024.

On May 21, WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark gave fans an update on Traylor's relationship and gushed that they are on "vacation mode."

"I feel like they're also living - they're in a nice, in vacation mode right now," Caitlin told USA Today. "So, I hope they enjoy a nice little break out of the spotlight. But I'm sure they'll be cheering for the Fever either way."
