The U.K. native was just 21 years old when the former Disney star popped the question in 2017, but she felt fully ready to take the plunge. "I think once you've found the right person, you just know. I feel like I'm much older a soul than I am in age," she divulged to Rolling Stone about her engagement.
Unfortunately after welcoming two daughters and being together for seven years, Joe filed for divorce from Sophie in September 2023, Life & Style confirmed via online court records at the time. They finalized their divorce one year later.
While tensions between the former couple were seemingly strained for a while, Sophie hinted that the two were on better terms in May 2025.

May 2024 Sophie opened up to British Vogue in May 2024 and said that the days immediately following the beginning of her and Joe's custody battle were some of the hardest of her life. "There were some days that I didn't know if I was going to make it. I would call my lawyer saying, ‘I can't do this. I just can't.' I was just never strong enough to stand up for myself," Sophie recalled. "And then, finally, after two weeks of me being in a rut, [my lawyer] reminded me that it was my children I was fighting for. Once anyone says to me, ‘Do it for your kids,' I'm doing it. I wouldn't do it for myself, but I'll find the strength for them."
