Def Leppard, along with REO Speedwagon and Tesla, will be coming Oct. 1 to Tacoma. The rock band announced the new 55-city tour Monday morning.

The band is comprised of Joe Elliott (vocals), Vivian Campbell (guitar), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick “Sav” Savage (bass) and Rick Allen (drums). In the last 30 years, the band has sold more than 100 million albums, including two multi-platinum releases: “Pyromania” and “Hysteria.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting back out there and playing some great music with some great people for some of the most appreciative audiences in the world,” Elliott said in a news release announcing the tour. “It really is always a pleasure.”

The 2016 tour will kick off May 1 in Orlando, Florida, and conclude Oct. 10 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Other Northwest tour stops will be Sept. 28 in Boise and Sept. 30 in Eugene, Oregon.

The group is coming off a 2015 tour that hit more than 70 venues nationwide, as well as the October release of a self titled new album featuring “Let’s Go” and “Dangerous”.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $29.50-$125, and will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at the dome’s box office, 800-745-3000, tacomadome.org and Ticketmaster.
