Flo Rida, Kid Rock added to Washington State Fair concert lineup

Cross-genre music star Kid Rock and hip-hop performer Flo Rida have been added to the concert lineup for the Washington State Fair in September. Kid Rock will hit the grandstand stage Sept. 3, while Flo Rida will perform Sept. 24.

Kid Rock has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide as he jumps from rock to pop to country. His hit single “All Summer Long” hit No. 1 in eight countries. Also known as Robert Ritchie, the 45-year-old’s music is a blend of Southern rock, blues, country ballads and hip-hop. Some of his other hits are “Bawitdaba,” “Cowboy” and “God Only Knows Why.”

Also performing that night will be Uncle Kracker. His 2000 debut album, which included the hit single “Follow Me,” went double platinum.

Flo Rida, born Tramar Dillard, first started performing rap as a teenager with the group Groundhoggz. Since then, he has sold 80 million digital singles. His 2008 hit, “Low,” was No. 1 for 10 weeks. Among other hits for the 36-year-old are “Right Round,” “Club Can’t Handle Me” and “Good Feeling.”

Appearning with Flo Rida will be R&B singer Natalie La Rose. From Amsterdam, La Rose is known for her single “The Right Song.”

Tickets for the Kid Rock-Uncle Kracker show are $95-$120. For the Flo Rida concert, tickets are $40-$68. Tickets for both shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. You can buy tickets at thefair.com, by phone at 888-559-3247 from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, or in person at the State Fair’s box office at Ninth Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.

There will be a pre-show party the night of the Kid Rock show. For $38, ticketholders get dinner, music and prizes. That ticket, however, does not include fair or concert admission.
