Smash Mouth to play Washington State Fair in Puyallup on Sept. 8
The rock band Smash Mouth will perform Sept. 8 at the Washington State Fair.
The band is know for its hits “All Star,” “Then the Morning Comes” and “Can’t Get Enough of You Baby.” The group’s first major label album, “Fush Yu Mang,” has been certified double platinum for sales. That was followed by “Astrolounge,” which has gone quadruple platinum. The group also contributed to the soundtrack for the animated film “Shrek.”
The band currently comprises lead singer Steve Harwell, bass player Paul DeLisle, drummer Jason Sutter, keyboardist Michael Klooster and guitarist Sean Hurwitz.
Not resting on their musical laurels, the group has also gotten into the publishing world. “Walkin’ on the Sun,” the band’s official biography, was written by DeLisle. They also released their own cookbook, “Recipes from the Road.” The cookbook is a compilation of recipes from restaurants the group has visited while on the road, stories and photos from their tours, and recipes from notable figures such as Guy Fieri, Sammy Hagar and Michael Symon. The book was written by Harwell, DeLisle and Robert Hayes.
Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are $30 for general admission and includes admission to the fair.
